The Old Borough Arms guest house overlooks the bustling strand Quay and from our flower decked verandah many interesting shops can be seen including stylish antique centres and old curiosity like shops brimming with ‘bargains’. The town centre with many more interesting shops and restaurants is only a few minutes walk away.

The river Tillingham passes nearby with pretty riverside walks down to the fishing quay where the freshly landed catch from Rye bay and beyond can be bought.

Beneath the Old Borough Arms guest house in Rye, you will find Mermaid corner tearooms recently featured in Sussex Life (April 2008) our friendly staff will be happy to serve you with a traditional cream tea, light lunches and a great selection of indulgent locally baked cakes. We also serve the finest fairtrade coffee in town.
